For our October meeting, we would like to welcome back Jamie Hargrove of Hargrove Firm in Louisville, KY! But first, here are a few VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- From now through our December meeting, we will be meeting at the Lexington Opera House, 401 W. Short Street, on the 3rd floor. Limited street parking is available around the Opera House, with a paid parking lot and a parking garage located directly across Broadway. The DoubleTree Guest Suites hotel is currently undergoing extensive renovations. We will commence meeting there again with our January 2024 meeting.
- If you plan to attend the October 3rd meeting, please note that I am not able to be in attendance; therefore, when you arrive, please enter through the Short Street entrance and proceed up the grande staircase (or using the elevator) to the 3rd floor. You may either pre-pay through this RSVP link, mail a check to BGEPC, ℅ Gregory Accounting, PO Box 1522, Versailles, KY 40383, or if you are not able to do either of these, you can pre-arrange to pay at the November meeting by replying directly to this email to let me know. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this presents to anyone.
Jamie Hargrove is the founding partner of Hargrove Firm, which has offices in multiple states, including Louisville and Lexington, KY. He is a CPA in addition to an Attorney, which provides a useful perspective for innovative estate planning. Jamie is a top “AV Preeminent” attorney, peer-rated by the Martindale-Hubbell system for legal ability and ethical standards. He has also received national recognition as a SuperLawyer and named to Best Lawyers in America. He was the first attorney in Kentucky to be recognized as an Accredited Estate Planning Attorney. In 2014, he published his first book, entitled “The End of Lawyers, Thank Goodness!: Estate Planning and the End of Inefficient Lawyers.” He has been a long-time member and multiple-time speaker of the Bluegrass Estate Planning Council, and we are excited to welcome him back to share his wisdom and expertise!
A buffet lunch with be served. Lunch and networking begin at 11:30 with the meeting starting at 12:00. We will finish around 1:00. The cost of this meeting is $20 for members and $25 for guests.
If you wish to attend this meeting, you must RSVP no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, September 29th, by either clicking this link - https://www.bgepc.org/events/event/24641 - or by replying directly to this email. Please be sure to RSVP so that we have plenty of space and food for everyone. Those who come to the meeting having not RSVP'd may run the risk of being turned away at the door if there is not enough space, so please be sure to RSVP even if you have pre-paid your lunches for the year. You may cancel your reservations up to the time of the event.
If you will be bringing a guest, please be sure that I have their name so that a nametag can be prepared for them.
Just as a reminder, if you have not renewed your membership yet, you are welcome to renew online. Please be aware that anyone not renewing by October 1, 2023, will be removed from the membership and email distribution lists. If for some reason you are not able to submit your membership dues by that time but plan to do so, please email me immediately to let me know so that you are not dropped off the list.
